  • June: 21-26, 23-28, 28-3
  • July: 4-9, 6-11, 7-12, 12-17, 13-18, 14-19, 19-24, 20-25, 21-26
  • August: 2-7, 3-8, 4-9, 5-10, 9-12, 10-15, 11-16, 12-17, 17-22, 18-23, 24-29, 25-30, 30-4
  • September: 2-7, 6-11, 7-12, 8-13, 13-18, 14-19, 15-20

Inclusions:

  • All road transport by private AC cars
  • 5 nights of tented accommodation (twin sharing)
  • All trekking gear including tents, sleeping bags, and mats
  • Local guides and cooking staff
  • All cooking utensils and LPG stoves
  • Offloading (horses to carry backpacks below 20kgs)
  • Meal plan: vegetarian meals including eggs and cheese (4 meals per day)

Itinerary:

Day 1: Srinagar to Doodhpathri

  • Pickup and drive to Doodhpathri campsite

Day 2: Doodhpathri to Ashtaar Valley

  • Trek from Doodhpathri to Ashtaar Valley (Altitude: 2700m to 3500m, 10km trek)

Day 3: Ashtaar to Gurwansar

  • Trek from Ashtaar to Gurwansar (Altitude: 3500m to 3800m, 7km trek)

Day 4: Gurwansar to Duriem via Bandsar Lake

  • Trek from Gurwansar to Duriem via Bandsar Lake (Altitude: 3800m to 3850m via 3980m, 10km trek)

Day 5: Duriem to Gadtar

  • Trek from Duriem to Gadtar (Altitude: 3800m to 3820m via 3950m, 10km trek)

Day 6: Gadtar to Tosamaidan and drive to Srinagar

  • Trek from Gadtar to Tosamaidan, drive back to Srinagar

What to Carry:

  • Passport or valid ID card
  • Duffel Bag (60 liters)
  • Trekking shoes and trail approach shoes
  • Trekking pants and hooded rain jacket
  • Sunglasses, hat, and gloves
  • Day-pack, trekking socks, and sandals
  • Extra warm clothes and sunscreen
  • Personal medication

Fitness:

  • Trek: Up to 7km per day
  • Daily activity: Up to 5 hours of trekking per day
  • Carry: Up to 5kg in a day-sack
  • Terrain: Remote, uneven, snowy, icy, rocky, sometimes exposed terrain up to 4200m
  • Climate: Sunny in valleys, cold and windy at high altitudes. June and September months are cooler than July and August, with averages ranging from 1°C to 20°C.
  • Swim: Not required, but there will be stream crossings.
